The starting material for these unique patchwork placemats consists of upcycled textile fibers from the fashion and textile industry. If not used like this, it would end up in landfill. By collecting and processing this unused textile surplus, a new and hard-wearing mixed fibre material is created: and a second life begins. With these placemats you help to avoid textile waste and at the same time beautify your table. Each of the pieces is unique.
process
The durable and pleasantly soft material is processed into a robust braid and then gains additional durability and stability. The braided braid is then sewn by experienced and practiced hands to create stylish placemats for your home.
